About & approach

I work between public decisions and the systems that make them real.

My work connects public policy, parliamentary research, Bangkok governance, campaigns and civic technology. I work with documents, public institutions and people in the places affected by decisions.

How the work connects

Evidence, institutions and everyday life.

01

Start with the record.

Budget analysis and legislative research involve checking what a document says, who is responsible and what remains uncertain.

02

Follow the issue into practice.

Meetings and fieldwork connect the written record with resident concerns and the responsibilities of different agencies.

03

Make it easier to examine.

Public communication and civic tools make proposals and source material easier for other people to understand and question.

Notes & tools

A few distinctions worth keeping.

Short notes drawn from the work, with links to the cases behind them.

A proposed budget is not expenditure.

A draft line records what an agency proposes. Approval, procurement, payment and completion are separate stages. Budget Close to Home links the draft record to its source so readers can check what that record actually establishes.

The document page matters.

A result is easier to verify when it retains the agency, original file and page number. PDF pages and printed page numbers can differ because of cover pages. The Song Wat 2 example keeps both references visible.

Advice, drafting and authorship are different roles.

Public work is often shared. Advisory credits, joint drafting and report authorship should be described separately, and a later law should not be treated as the outcome of an earlier proposal without supporting evidence.
